So I am doing the conversion today and as I'm looking at the tail light set up the Talon has a plug for the blinker light that the eclipse tail lights don't have. Has anyone done the conversion? How will this work with the tail lights?

you should be able to just cut the plug out and just rewire it all with out plugs.

Ok, I figured the plug thing out. I realized the extra bulb is for the reverse lights which is not in the tail lights on the eclipse its in the bumper, duh; lol. I just have to extend the wire which isn't a problem. Now for the next question. Im pulling the bumper off and I realized that where the bumper dips down in the middle of the Talon, the eclipse bumper doesn't dip; it goes straight across; so where the bumper bolts (in the middle of the bumper) it looks like there will be a gap, so I won't be able to bolt the middle of the bumper down. Is there a spacer or something I will need to bolt that down?

Drives: 1996 Talon AWD. Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern

that area really doesn't need much support so most people just let it be and don't bolt it down. if you really want to be the most efficient you could weld a bracket there

Got the bumper off and ya, it doesn't meet up all the way accross actually. What a pain by the way. A lot of stuff to move out of the way to get these bumpers off, snapped bolts and etc. ugh! Oh well I am going to put the eclipse bumper on now and when its done it will be worth it. I will post before and after pics tonight or tomorrow.

Here are the before and after pics. I will have to figure out a way to add a bracket to support the bumper better along the top. Just not enough support right now. I will probably have the center piece tail light painted with the car next spring. What do you think of how it turned out?

Looks like 6 of one, half dozen of the other. I would have atleast swapped for 2gb. The tails are hideous. You should by my stockers. Stock tails, with a painted center = the win.

Whats 2GB? I bought the tail lights used for $40. It was all that I could find. I actually like them; I guess thats all that matters. I would consider stock lights, just couldn't find any on my budget right now.

2GB must mean 97-99 years. Yes I want those bumpers, but I got this bumper for free and like I said tail lights for $40 and paint and primer for $20. I just wanted an eclipse so for $60 I figured I could live with the 95-96 bumpers. I will most likely change the bumpers to the 97-99 after I get out of the whole that the other Eclipse put me in. All in all I'm happy with how it turned out.
