lol thanks. People sell their shells for WAY too much. By the time you buy the shell

Shell $1200
Motor $700-$2000
Trans $500-$1500
Parts turbo, ect $500-$1000

You are looking at the cost of MORE then you can get a running tsi or gst for. I have been through too many of these cars to get ripped off again

Hey I jumped in here late sorry...but you were talking about having the crank lined up right what does that mean? Also do you have to have the same deal on the cams I think someone said pins up. What does this mean. Going to build an engine and car in the next three months don't want to mess up. Sorry to hear about your timing man hope wikedz can help you.

Pin up means everything will be 100% timed right. Having everything @12 o clock and TDC (top dead center) will have your car timed right when you install the belt. Our motors are non interference motors. If itming is off, good chance of the pistons slapping our valves causeing them to BEND. On the turbo models, I had a shop charge me a total of $707.25 for ew valvs and labor THATS IT, no other work done. That is crazy and I mean CRAZY cuz the valves all 16 cost $90 new. If you dont know how to do timing, DONT attempt it.

Didnt you just read what I posted? My 95 TSI valve job was $707.25. That means DONT REBUILD YOUR HEAD. You can find a good turbo head OR built head for cheaper then what I posted. No joke man please please look around.

or if you want my TURBO head im getting in the mail, I wil sell it to you for $200 and bring it to you this weekend. I will just use my NA head on my turbo progress. You have friends here willing to help. So if you can still give me like $40-$50 for gas and the $200 this weekend for the head, I willbring to you and even help install it.
