I am looking at getting a 1995 Eclipse GS-T 101 K miles. Nice shape.
Wife and I took it for a test drive. Normal acceleration felt well normal.
But it seemed to hesitate a bit under hard acceleration, Like going from 40 to 65 on the on ramp. the car accelerated, but the speedometer didn't indicate any change of speed.

The salesman told me that the waste gate wasn't et right and it needed to be adjusted, but since they didn't know anything about that, they weren't going to mess with it.

Is the factory waste gate even adjustable? and if so how much work is it going to take to get it right?

its not the waste gate. the salesman is stupid. its boost leak. being almost a 10 year old car pretty much all the rubber is old and crack.

So.... how do I solve it?

I foundf this with some help from google.

So I have an Idea of what to look for when I re examine the car tomorrow.
I might be able to take advantage of a stupid salesperson.
