Ok, you know how some 420's do the "will crank but wont start deal" as i've said before mine does it alot. We've changed everything but i tried something last time it did it, when it did i jumped it from another vehicle and it sounded like it sped up the timing a little bit and it fired right up, today it wouldnt start so i put the battery charger on START and as soon as i hit the key right as i turned the charger on it fired right up ...... Could the computer be doing something to the timing to make it not start? because now every time it does it as long as someone with jumpers is around it fires first try. I dont know what it is, maybe bad battery or what? im just curious, tired of sitting at wal mart for an extra 20 minutes waiting for my car to start lol

Drives: 1996 Talon AWD. Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern

+1 that happened to me before too.

if you happen to get stuck somewhere and you check the negative terminal finding it's loose but the bolt is tight take a foil gum wrapper and fold it over a few times then wedge it between the battery terminal and the negative terminal end. It will make the connection so you can get home
