Hey everyone, my brand new 2009 GTS was jumped on recently by some horrible person. I am looking for a hood to replace mine. If anyone has a Tarmac black hood they are selling please respond or email me at zachraven@gmail.com.

Report it to your insurance. They should cover the damages for you... property damage.

My buddy keyed his own car and claimed it on the insurance so he could have fresh paint on it when he sells the car. ;)

Man that sucks.... were they trying to copy the Mazda commercial or what? Whats your deduct? If the hood is less than that I would just replace the hood yourself or get it fixed. No reason to report it if its gonna be less than the deductable.

My deductible was $1000 comprehensive. i've since dropped it to $100, but i reported it first. i should have dropped it then reported it, but i wasn't thinking, i was too mad.

There was another thread on here where the guy was selling a bunch of stuff.....I believe it was an 08.....Blue color...but you could always have it painted.....
Probably would be ALOT cheaper. Or you can get a Carbon Fiber one :)

He lives in Michigan... the amount of money he'll spend on gas will probably be more than the hood itself. :laughing:

well, im thinking of a carbon fiber hood. i think that would look good on the black car. im doing a few design projects on the side where i can earn some dough. now my question is, what brand or manufacturer of carbon fiber hoods is good? i don't want to spend more than 800-900, but i also dont want a crappy hood. thanks everyone

CF on black looks great. A lot of the SM (Strictly Modified) Evo 8's and 9's here are CF on black.

You should be able to pick up a hood for about $700. Not sure how much it will be with shipping.
