follow 1g swap diagrams and you should be ok. you're getting the entire unit correct? starter and all?

yeah i found one on ebay for $900 plus shippin. i need something cause mine has a bad starter, trans, plugs, wires, valve cover gasket and throttle body. i figured it would be easier and cheaper to get the whole motor than to buy piece by piece. also does the 1g have the 6 bolt or 7 bolt

No. You will need to cut and weld something on the 1g tranny. There is a rear tranny mount (same for 1g and 2g, no mod necessary) but there is some kind of bracket you will need to get welded and cut onto the 1g bellhousing (ik because i tried to put a 1g bellhousing on my 2g).

can you specify the location? is it possible to take a 2g bellhousing and mate to the 1g trans instead?
