Hola all,

I drive a 96 eclipse RS, mt.

I've had this probelm for a couple of weeks now an I can't figure it out at all. I'll be driving down the road an at random the engine will quit on me (needles drop, lose all engine power). I have to pull off to the side of the road an wait an it will start again.

I've checked the ECU, nothing appears to be blown or fried. I have put new: spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, fuel filter. An still the car quits on me at random.

Has anyone else had this problem or one like it that can help me out??

That happens with my lawn mower all the time.... it's usually a big clump of grass.


Really though... does it happen somtimes when you go over a bump or somthing? Maybe you have a loose electrical connection somewhere?

fuel pump relay. cheap fix

Nope, it can be flat as possible an it will still do it sadly.

the fuel pump relay is roughly 9months old.

this is very true, I hope it's not though. To me that means I need to figure out at that point what is making the relay fold to do that
