Alright so i'm not going to lie I’m confused! So do the 01 Spyder V6 Gt’s have a distributor or a coil pack?? I’m being told all these things that it can be, And I’m not one that’s great with the eclipses, So if anyone knows what would cause a PO300 code( Random Multiple Misfire) then please help. Have no more money to throw at stuff that’s not casing the problem. Also it’s odd because you would think that if you had this code then you would have some symptoms but I have none, are at least that I can feel while driving.

V6 6G72 is a distributor.

What did you do just prior to that code? Anything? Change spark plugs/wires, etc?

Will I had a tune up about 5-6 months ago, but shortly after that my Trans went out on me, so back into the shop it went. But I had the plugs, Wires, and everything that a major tune up would cover on it. I have NGK V-power Plugs and NGK wires... A wish there was more to say but there isn’t, I haven’t experienced any symptoms but I have a check engine light on and a code that pops up.

Ok.. slow down.. and spell out a timeline.

Transmission fixed on (Date)
Plugs/Wires/etc Tune-up on (Date)
P0300 Code started on (Date)

I'm leaning towards that the wrong spark plugs were used. ONLY use what is recommended by the manufacturer. Also ensure the wires are how they should be (1,3,5 - 2,4,6)

Transmission fixed on (Date) May 2008, went in again July 2008
Plugs/Wires/etc Tune-up on (Date) April 2008
P0300 Code started on (Date) June 2008

And the order is 1,3,5 front and 2,4,6 back correct?

Also i took another look yesterday and didnt see any markings on my wires that they said the replaced with NGK brand, i'm assuming that they would have NGK on the wires somewhere right?

Well I went to their website and the picture was too small to see if they had NGK on the wire itself, but the actual "wire" part was bright blue and that was the only set they had. So if they're not blue, they're not NGK, according to their website.

Not true - OEM is black and produced by NGK.

and yes, the blue wires do have NGK written on them in white print.

Well it's mot black, its like a gray color, However i took one of the ends off of the Distr. and looked on the copper and it looked a little burnt. I'll take a picture of it later but if you or anyone has a picture of what it should like that would help out.

I meant ones that they sell for replacement are only blue. Of course OEM ones are black, MOST are.

It doesn't look bad, I think it'll be fine. But if you really want to be safe just go get new wires again.

If plugs/wires were replaced and you are still misfiring, check 2 things.

1.) That you are putting at least 91 octane in your car
2.) That your injectors are good.
