its a serious possibility that you could beat your friends 350z if you wanted to run about 14psi. i have a gst thats running 14psi and ive beaten a mustang gt and 350z already

on what turbo...... i'm running 17psi on the 14b and i can't even beat a stock evolution.

QUOTE(newby1gsx @ Aug 21 2008, 09:43 PM)
i had a gsx with an evo 3 big runnin at 14 lbs, and it was quick.. i even had the stock intercooler and piping.. I would say with the added weight of his body kit, you should be able to take him pretty easy with that set up.. either way, the 14b or the evo3 you will be happy... the only thing about the evo 3 is you will have plenty of space to continue with future modding... to my understanding the 14b will start to crap out on you after 16lbs of boost where the evo wont till 25lbs..

14psi on a evo III 16G, its in a coma.

turbo choice always brings out the critics because everyone has their own preferences and goals....not to mention sooooo many variables that can bring out the potential of your car

QUOTE(HMatt @ Aug 22 2008, 08:33 AM)
Yeah: 14b will fall off at about 325 hp, the t25 at like 260, the evo III at around 380-390, and the big T28 at around 360.

But with the proper supporting mods, you can get a evo III or a t28 up to 400. It is possible and has been done before.

It is considered difficult to get a 14b up to 20 or 21 lbs, and even then you're on the boarder line of 300. The evo 3 is "rated at 350". If you go outside the beginner build (cams, intercooler, etc) you can get the evo 3 up to 375 or so. rarely more (unless its the hahn 16g with the 10cm housing).

Im hanging on to the idea that I can work with the T28 just to stay close to stock. I just dont want to send it off somewhere far. This guy at work is running a 16g on his GS-T and he hates driving it on low rpm cause the needle drops way low. Now that we mention 14psi could that be responsible?
