Its a base or RS. no fog lights. if its base keep looking. if its rs... If your looking for a nice dd go for it. looks to be pretty clean. if your looking for speed... keep looking for a gs-t or gsx. an easy way to tell if its base or rs is once you go to look at it see if it has a tachometer. if it does its an rs if not its a base. looks like the emblems are shaved on it so thats the easiest way to tell.

^ I agree. looks exactly like mine but red. Don't give him the full asking price. go there with like 900 dollars, people go nuts when they see money in front of them. And if you dont know alot about cars i would ask him if it's possible to bring to a mechanic there coulb be more thats wrong with it... i found that out the hard way good luck!

Persoanlly, I would stay away from it, simply because it is an automatic.
Being a bit of a trans guy, I know how expensive they are, even if you put it in yourself.
With that many miles, I would touch it with George Bush's dick, and Dick Cheney pushing.
IMHO, keep looking, and get a manual.
Good luck! :)

Dont buy it, seriously...there's more to it, Automatics suck and is either an RS or GS model..which suck big time. Save your money and get yourself a better "First car".

Wasn't the GS the first model that had color matching door handles?

well if you can get him down to $1000, id buy it, regardless if its a RS, dont mind the miles, ive seen people with over 200,000+miles with these and not have any major problems, its all on how you take care of the car, these are good first cars, i wouldnt recommend a gst/x for a first car, unless you know alot bout cars, if not either 1, or 2 things happen kids get power crazed and spend money on power without proper research/knowledge and wonder why their car breaks all the time, or they decide to try and show off infront of their friends and go 110mph into a wall. Buy the car, keep it for awhile, then upgrade if you want, to something more powerful, im sure you'll get your money back from the sale if not more.

good luck.

it is a gs, they have the lower spoiler and the door handles match the paint, again, what are you looking for? a daily drive or speed?

Thank you for all of your input. Yeah, pretty much just a daily drive. I dispise law breakers and those who street race. innocent people die because people break the law and drag race. (nothing against legal racing) but no, i don't plan on racing it. What about a honda civic? should i go with one of those?

also, check this one out, is this a better deal?

http://worcester.craigslist.org/pts/795971511.html

as far as if i should get it or not, i'm confused with everyone saying dont get it and others saying do get it... I need to make sure i get this right.
