Drives: 1.9L TDi Carisma 1997
We need to replace the power steering pump for our 1.9L diesel Carisma model 1997.

The original one is difficult to obtain here in Sweden, and quite expensive.

I wonder if there is somebody on the forum with the experience on whether the pump for some other car/model is the same as this one and can be replaced instead.

In particular, I have in mind the Renaul Laguna and Volvo S40 from the same period (they seem to share the same F8Q engine). Of course, the pump is not the engine itself, but the pumps may still be the same.

The power steering pump for Carisma is the same for Volvo S40.
