I'm looking at getting a set of these Ventvisors for my 1990 GSX. Does anybody have any input pro or con?

Over the years I've had the car, I've left the windows partially open VERY many times and consequently got rain in them (due to allowing heat to escape or it having been a nice day.) When I tore down the driver's side interior and door recently, I found highly unwelcome rust thanks to those accidental soakings (including causing my driver's seat-slide release wire to rust and break.)

I've only recently become aware of rain deflectors/visors and now I want to take advantage of them to help protect my car. It would be nice if they were cheaper, but the JDM visors for the Rumion/xB are $280 plus $25 shipping and the Weathertech visors for the xB are $110 shipped, so $53 shipped seems like a reasonable deal to me. (Of course, you need two for the Eclipse Vs four for the xB.)

They may have some benefits like that, but I dunno..........
They just look weird to me. Not even CLOSE to my style. I wouldn't be caught dead with those things on my car.
BUT, like I said, that's just me.

I've gone ahead and placed the order. At worst, if I decide I don't like the appearance on the car, I can always remove them -- the cost is about the same as a single tank of gas these days (how's that for a yardstick :(!)

Once I get them installed, I'll post a photo.

I might get me some if I like how yours look. My windows leak a little at the top corner and the bottom corner by the mirror. Appearently our cars are notorious for this.

But... I might just get new door seals or whatever they are called. If anybod knows the proper name and about how much they cost NEW! PM me or post it up.

I checked a nearby store that carries the product, but they didn't have the right one. I wouldn't have minded saving the $4, but I guess I'll survive...

JCWhitney.com has a collection of generic rubber seals that fit our cars. Just enter your car info and review the offerings (first take measurements of the original seal.) I got my new hatch seal that way and it worked out fine. However, when you identify an appropriate replacement, you may want to check with Pep Boys to make sure they don't have the same thing on their shelves. Whitneys charges shipping and are frequently more expensive.

Finally got home again (it's been FOUR months) and I installed the ventvisors Sunday. I think they look good with my black roof, but I need a clear day for taking a photo. It's definitely nice not to have to completely shut the window to stop rain from getting in :)!

Thanks much guys, I only wish it were as "immaculate" as it appears -- amazing what washing and waxing will do :)! It was a real disaster scene last January and I spent March through May bringing it back to life :)! Then it spent the last four months parked in the garage, just brought it out Tuesday.

Since getting it back together and installing new rims in May, I've become appreciative of the wheel gap issue (addressed it February on my xB.) I ordered a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs Monday, so it should be dropping an inch some time soon.

I guess the VentVisors have both pros and cons and it's a personal choice, but for me, the look works and they are definitely functional. It intermittently rained here the last couple days, and even though the windows were 2" open, not a drop got in! Hallelujah :)!
