It comes with 2 motors, a 3.0l and a 3.5.

I am looking 2 sell the 3.5. It has around 160,000 on it, it has come out of a rolled 1999 model paj, and been put into the 1991 model swb i have bourght.

I also have other assorted parts 4 sale.

I am located in Wilton, 20mins sth of campbelltown, but spend alot of time in Wollongong and parramatta.

If any1 is interested i am looking at letting the 3.5 go 4 about 500 dollars.

Strange to hear you say you want to sell your engine when I need one so badly. I live half the globe away from you......lol. I would have paid you right away for this engine. Have a 3.5 v6 pajero as well and it got a bearing knock. I haven't been able to get a crankshaft, bearings and new connecting rods for it so I should be better off with your engine. I wonder how long it would take this engine to get to the Caribbean?

I would alow 6 months. You will also need to sort out customs clearance fees, duty, insurance, tax, etc. I'm not trying to put you off but it is not as straight forward as you might think. Your probably better getting one from the States, unless you have a GDI.

I am checking with a local shipping agency to give me a quotation. Based on the response I will contact you about this engine. It seems I need to have a spare one on hand.

Well, I checked with the shipping agency and they are asking for the weight of the engine, as well as the Port it will be shipped from. With this information they would be able to give me a quotation as it relates to cost. If the deal is good I have no issues purchasing the engine. It would just be used as a backup anyway.

As long as its working properly I have an interest. All I need now is the weight of the engine to call the shipping company so I can have an idea as to the overall amount to be spent.

Hey Azza,

Thanks for the quick response. I have relayed the information to the shipping agency and I am awaiting word as to cost of shipping. The time is not too important since it may just serve as a backup engine. I love my ride this much to go through the distance and the expense ( if the cost of shipping is reasonable).

I will be contacting you shortly.

I got a shocker from the shipping company based on the information they submitted to me for perusal. Since the engine is 350kg, it would cost me $8.45 Australian per kg, which is $2.00 Eastern Caribbean dollars per $1.00 Aus. Therefore $2.00 EC x 8.45Aus is 16.9 ECD.

16.9X 350kg=5915 ECD
plus $500 which is about 1355

the addition leaves me with a total of $7270 app.

and with 50% customs duty I am looking at a grand total of $10k.

hmmmm, may just have to settle for a whole vehicle for $8k, used and already on island. It is in working condition, but the body can be dumped, for all I care.

yeah, but honestly I don't want this shell in my yard. The guy is still trying to reel some dough from me for the jeep. I am looking at spending not more than 8K for it. I hope he will accept.

Azza, Was your jeep an import from Japan?
