So, yesterday i was driving along, and i was behind someone turning, and after they turned which i had to slow down for, i went to accelerate and my car didnt respond when i pressed the pedal, then, i looked down, and the tachometer was, at zero indicating that my car was no longer running.

So i got it towed home, i took off the intake hose, so i could attempt to start it with starter fluid, thinking it was my fuel pump/filter/injectors. No such luck, it still wouldn't start.

And it is almost impossible to find a diagram showing where my spark plugs are/how to access them without buying a manual....and the nearest manual to me for my car. is over 35 miles....no easy feat since...my car wont start lol.

The ignition is attempting to turn over, but the car just wont start....HELP PUHWEASE

EDIT: Found the spark plugs, and found out my timing belt isnt going ANYWHERE when i try to start it......big uh oh. Was able to get the belt off, but i cannot get it back on, anyone know how to loosen the tensioner?

if the timing belt isnt spinning during the cranking period, youre screwed.

and exactly how does a person remove a timing belt without loosening a tensioner? are you saying you mearly pried it off?
well, thats not how you remove a timing belt. You need to disassemble the front of the engine and do it correctly.

Kinda figured that we were screwed. And thats a-lot of work just to remove a timing belt, when you can reach/see the tensioner once the timing belt is off, and even once you remove the covering of the timing belt.. =X....anyhow its gone to a mechanics shop that some friends recommended/got us a good deal at, they're still figuring out whats wrong...
