Hi guys. I about two weeks ago was hit by a drunk driver running a red light and totaled my 08 Lancer GTS. I Just bought a 2009 Lancer GTS and was wondering if everything works the same as the 08, (besides the fact it's a 2.4 instead of a 2.0) Will the Dvd hack i had in my 08 work for the 09 nav system? will my CIA & axel back exhaust on my 08, (yes i ripped them off of my old car before i gave it the the insurance company) will it work on the 09? I apologize if this has been posted before, i'm still sore and hurt from the wreck and it's hard to consentrate long enough to do a search that long. Any advice would be helpful

Everything will work the same on the 09s as far as CAI and axel back.
I dont know about the DVD but I would asume so since they didn't really change it.

The DVD hack will work as long as you install the 09 application. The 08 and 09 are different but both are available.

ouch sorry to hear that but i bet you r glad to get a new 1 i sure wish somone would plow into my car just enough to total it to get a new 1....i will never smoke in a new car ever again or get into my car with muddy shoes.......i hate myself my interior sux now :(

I have an 09 GTS and I did the dvd hack. Just make sure to check the version number on the 09. If it's the same as the 08 you can just use the same hack, otherwise just get the newer one. I must say it's pretty much the coolest thing ever to be able to watch movies while driving. If it makes you feel any better I got hit by a curb that just jumped out in front of me which screwed up my side skirt pretty bad. I wasn't even watching a movie lol

Where can I get the DVD hack for my 09 GTS? I've been searching the other forum too but to no avail, it does not work. I have application 30.97.

I got hurt a little burned on my arms and legs from the airbags. But man i can't say enough about that air bag for your knees and legs... it hurts like hell but the paramedics said my injuries would have been much worse without that thing, so i'm glad about that. I'm not getting a settlement, women who hit me was uninsured and had no license. the only two lucky things are i had gap insurance so when my personal insurance low balled me i could just accept it and get a new car inside a week. And second i'm in law school and work for a law firm that is handling my case against the women who hit me. I won't see much money from her. But i will make sure she remembers my name from here to her death.

i got the CAI back on my car. Love the sound and HP i got now... I'm installing my exhaust this next weekend. and i can't find the link to the DVD rip, can someone link it to this thread.


BTW my insurance offered me 16.5K for my 08 lancer GTS with NAV and SS had 8k miles on it. If you don't have gap insurance on your car. I would highly recommend it. It cost me 310 for my car and saved me weeks of frustration and anger. IMHO it was well worth it.

And as for the insurance thing... $16,500?!? You have the exact same car as I do! 8000 miles, Nav and SS 2008 GTS... that's ridiculous. How much did you pay for your car?

I paid 18950. I got a really good deal, I could have gotten more but it would have taken months. Since the women that hit me didn't have insurance i didn't have a car for the time my car was down. so my gap paid the difference in the loan plus my particular gap gave me 1000 towards the purchase of my new car. i paid 20500 for my 09 with touring package SS and Nav. I called the local Mitsu dealership and he laughed when I told him what statefarm offered me. I did a little research and State farm is under a class action lawsuit in cali for lowballing people there... if they win i'm seriously concidering starting one in my state as well, IMO 16,500 for a brand new car whos price isn't even in the blue book as used, isn't oversight... It's criminal. Like i said gap protection is a frustration saver. I can't praise my bank enough on how nice they have been. called them up and they stopped my loan so i didn't pay anymore on it.

Just goes to show never trust your fellowman that they will be able to cover your car, get neck deep in insurance and coverage and stay there. thank god for gap, uninsurred motorist, and full coverage :)

hey u got a GTS for 23000 i was the 3rd in town to get mine and they charged me full price for a damn Es in all 25000 with intrests it hit 30

I paid 20k w/ a discount of 1% under the dealers cost (not MSRP) for a 2008 Lancer GTS CVT (SS&NAVI)

I thought I got a deal, oh well... still love my car.

i to was in wreck with my 08 lancer DE... long story short... i had Green guy turned left in innersection and i T-Bone him... his falt... happened on July 13, 2008 and yes is was Friday 5min after i left work... July 26, 2008 i got the 2009 Lancer GTS Tarmac Black or whatever it is... was thinkin about the RallieArt... but was not out yet, not for another 2 or 3 months... something like that they said... could'nt wait havin one car was not doin it for my family... and banks kept sayin NO for the EvoX (BTW Mitsubishi is comin out with a Evo X Hack Back 5 Door.............)
