I just took delivery of an 08 Outlander 4wd LS It did not come with mudflaps. I live in snow country I have been reading the paint chip horror stories. I have also heard that in japan and europe larger than the US version mudflaps are avalable .Does any one know how to obtain those mudflaps from overseas?
Thank You :liebe011:

The OEM US ones are more then ample in side to handle general day to day in snow country. I live in VT. I tried the larger overseas ones that I got my friend to purchase for me when he was visiting japan and they ended up being a bit larger then i would like and tended to drag when you go in deep snow or off road. I would stick with the OEM ones. Very easy to install.

Do I really need mudflaps or mudguards in my car for the snow?

My 2008 Outlander didn't bring flaps either. What is the real advantage, if I never go off road? I just need to handle the day to day dirty street snow.

Thanks!
