QUOTE(pwee05 @ Aug 19 2008, 06:32 AM) also post what month it was made as well. That will definately help sell it if it has a 6-bolt
March 1992. He is leaning to either keeping it a fixing it, or I might give him my working GS Auto eclipse for trade. But, it would be nice to know what it is worth.

QUOTE(wickedz @ Aug 21 2008, 08:53 AM) I know the shop that did my valve work on my TSI, cost me $707.25 out the door. So thats just a little FYI
Fk that. Buy a bare head and have it build. Usually its actually cheaper than having a shop redo a head for you.

Had some bad news today, so the car will be sold. Cylinder #2 exhaust valve BROKE, pinching a hole in the cylinder, and denting the inside of the head. Parts update: Turbo is out of a 98 GSX 3" exhaust with 4" Koing muffler 17" rims are HSR Excel rims (white with brushed alluminum trim) Blow-off valve Will have pics tomorrow.

Well, the kid is on a roll. He decided to keep the car. We removed the head, and found two bent valves and a broken one. Unfortunately, it looks as if the head is toast due to the dents from the broken valve, and because of the cracked valve guides (he said they don't replace those?)
Also, it needs two pistons due to the damage.
I am debating letting him sell it for a couple hundred, or taking it myself and putting the N/A motor in it from my 92GS with the bad auto tranny. Can't decide though.
