this is probably a really dumb question but under the hood all of the black plastic that covers the wires is either ceacked or shredded apart, thats how it was when i baught the car, is this replacable and how much do you think it would be?

yea it should be u can get new casin prolly at alot of places that sell parts. can ever get colored ones

it's called wire loom. you can get it at any parts store and it isn't too expensive. I think lowes might even have it but i don't know that one for sure

I always called it wiring conduit, but same thing.
You can also check at repair shops if you don't want to spend money, and don't mind using used conduit. They usually have a bunch of the stuff laying around they aren't using.
I picked up a huge box of the stuff from the shop down the street that the were going to throw out, and paid nothing for it.

PS just use single strips of Electrical tape to keep the loom together, otherwise you will have a huge mess on your hands when the tape melts.
