My 1999 Eclipse just turned 94,000 miles and I noticed oil on the driveway this morning. Raised the hood and there is oil on the top of the motor around the spark plugs selas, not much..........small amount dripping down the driver side of the engine. My guess is its the seal under the gasket..............anyone know how much this would cost to fix? Car runs fine and the leak will make a 2" wide circle in about 2 days. Thanks for any advice in advance.

it seems all 2g eclipses have a minor oil leaks, that really don't seem to ever go away. If there is oil on top of your motor (or valve cover you mean) then its your valve cover gasket, I replaced mine and it still leaks a little, not as much though. At least your oil hasn't leaked on to your exhaust pipe yet, makes the car smoke....mines always like that I've cleaned underneath it several times, no help. Anyways theres my input, hope it helps...

Plus there's gaskets around the spark plug holes that could be leaking. They should come with the kit.
