I just got done putting a rebuilt head and timing belt on my 1995 GST. I did not change the balance shaft belt because it was changed not to long ago.

Once I put everything back together and the motor mount back on, the car seems to vibrate more than it use to at idle. It is not to horrible but noticable to me. The timing is dead on. What can cause vibration at idle? Motor mounts? Any ideas will help.

Thanks, John

You are talking about the one that the oil pump runs off of right? The one that is turned by the timing belt, not the "balance shaft belt".

That makes perfect sence. I was going to say the balance shaft is off until he said he didn't mess with that belt. I completely forgot about the rear shaft.

you might of had the timing mark lined up, but it can still be 180 degrees out, I think the factory service manual says to take a phillps screwdriver and stick it in the plug hole and it need to go in more than 2 1/2 inches, if it doesn't, than its out 180

I looked for this plug hole. Where is it located. I can't seem to find it. Is it on the oil pump sproket near the arrow?

Can you check it when everything is back together?

Thanks
