Im trying to locate the accumulator-dryer on my '03 montero ltd. Does anyone know where this component is located? I found a diagram of the condensor at:

http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.com/cata.../aci/P40308.jpg

and it seems that the dryer is actually part of the condensor - its a long slender black tube to the side of the condsor radiator. Can anyone confirm this for me?

I confirmed that the condenser DOES contain the dryer - located in that tube next to the condenser. There is a 9" desiccant bag in there that can be replaced if you go to AC repair shop. It takes a 14mm hex wrench to remove the plastic plug at the bottom. The cool thing about the design is that it looks like the desiccant bag acts like a filter to prevent the condensor from getting plugged.
