ok yea i am not looking to spend a butt load of money but my friend said he would hook me up with an evo 8 engine but i had no idea where to begin on how much it would cost with all the sensors and what not. any suggestions on what engine i might want to consider swapping to for more power? or should i keep my engine and just mod it further?

If you love the evo SOOO much that you are considering swapping, think about this. you can use your same block and just rebuild it with the internals from and evo 8 for MUCH less than the swap job would cost (it would be almost an identical engine). but then again, if you swap you might as well put forged internals in.

If your friend is going to just hook you up with a evo-8 motor, just sell it and mod out your own motor. I bet you can get like 2 grand for that motor.

Just to point this out. The EVO motor you are talking about spins in the complete oposite direction, so it faces the completly opposite way in the engine bay.
