So i can't figure out how to get the keys on the side of the navigation screen to light up when i'm driving at night, same with my driving shifter - do i possibly have a shortage or is there a specific way to turn theres on in the options on the navigation or on the car"?

have you tried the dimmer near the speedometer?
If thats not it you may have an issue.
