Hey, how many quarts will I need to flush my 98 Galant tranny. I cant find the right atf here in Zambia so i ordered 10 quarts from USA. Will that be enuf. Advice needed here plz.

wut engine? 2.5 auto. There are many synthetic blends that will work. 5 quarts will due for that tranny. 4.6 actually. I think there was another post about this and i listed the places to get teh appropriate fluids.

it's a 1.8 4 cylinder auto.so r u saying the transmission capacity is about 4.8 quarts of atf? this means i can flush it atleast once and fill it with the remainder of the 10 quarts i ordered. by the way, i ordered the amsoil synthetic atf.

Yes yu can perform 2 transmission flushes. Yu can drain and refill , twice

thanx loads men.i appreciate the clarification.i was almost panickin wen i thot i didnt order enuf coz the shipping costs r high,infact higher than the purchase cost.

Nah that plenty enough. It shouldent take more than 4.2 to 4.6 per drain and refill.

No problem at all. I use Amsoil all the time
