QUOTE(sordid @ Aug 30 2008, 09:41 PM) Depends on how I feel :P
I find that I naturally shift between 2.5-3k from 1st and 2nd, and usually 2.5k max from 3rd when I'm just driving relaxed, which is most of the time. The roads are a bit too uneven and pothole-laden to push it (though that broke the suspension in quick enough)
When I feel in more of a spirited mood and the asphalt is agreeable, I find 4-4.5k is my norm. I rarely push it above 5k, but if I swapped out my SRI with a CAI, I might..
cant count the times ive redlined already :$

What about reverse? :P I'd pull that back to 6k at the most -- we run out of extra ponies above that.

All depends on my driving mood I guess. I shift very early probably around 2k-3k on almost all gears if I am just driving around. If I want to go fast, that is a completely different story haha

QUOTE(lancerpower4b11 @ Sep 2 2008, 08:41 PM) nah, you have to take the negative terminal off the battery and then press on the brake a few times i think and then let your car sit for a few hours, then reconnect and start your car up and let it sit for a few mins to re-learn its info.
correct me if im wrong.
Everything was right up until "a few hours." Once you press down on the brakes, it saps any remaining electrical current left in your car's wiring. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and everything should reset.

When you install a CAI without resetting the ECU, the car thinks it's still running the stock airbox, so it's used to running on restricted airflow. But when you punch it, the car thinks "OK, time to suck REALLY HARD to get the necessary air I need" and starts gulping in air, not realizing that you installed a free flowing intake. This causes the car to run lean and will trigger the SES/CEL. Reset the ECU and make sure you let the car idle for 5 minutes so it can learn the new intake's abilities.
