How's it going yall 4-door Boost Fanatics?!?!?!
I'm actually an owner of Mitu's Red Headed StepChild... an '03 Eclipse 3.0L GT, but I'm in need of some assistance from the Evo crowd.

I'm looking into some interior part swaps from your Evo's, into my Eclipse, but my knowledge about these parts is iffy, and minimal.

The thing that I am most interested in is the OEM MOMO steering wheel... My Eclipse and Evo VII, VIII, and IX's share the same AFTERMARKET hub adapter for Steering wheels, and I'm 95% sure that this swap is possible...
Questions:
What is the exact size (diameter), so I can compare it to the 330, and 350mm Aftermarket one's that I've had in previous cars?

I've seen the same MOMO Wheel in a VIII and a IX, so are they found in every VII, VIII, and IX, or just select models like the MR?

Anyone know a good place to get one, and a ball park price?

Secondly is the Recaro front seats... I've seen the Black/Blue (in a VIII), and the Black/Grey red stitched (in a IX). I'm certain that VIII seats are a direct swap into my eclipse, so of course i'm interested in these. Once again...
Questions:
Are these the only two versions, or are there others (like an all Black, etc.)?

Are the Recaro's found in every VII, VIII, and IX, or just select models, and how do they vary?

Anyone know a good place to get a pair, and a ball park price?

If you guys can provide me any info on these topics, I would be SERIOUSLY GREATFUL!!! :liebe011:

It's okay, i'm here now.

Anything is possible.

Can't help you there.

That specific MOMO steering wheel is the same in the VII-IX all models.
Anyone know a good place to get one, and a ball park price?
They go for 1479.95 brand new with an airbag.
http://lancershop.com/customer/product.php...8&cat=14&page=2

But...you can get them used at evolutionm.net for around $200-$400.
Here's one for $400 shipped.
Are these the only two versions, or are there others (like an all Black, etc.)?
There's also all black leather seats from the MR. Black leather, with black stitching, also black leather with red stitching.
Are the Recaro's found in every VII, VIII, and IX, or just select models, and how do they vary?
All, and they vary by year. The only ones you'll get your hands on in the US, is the seats from the VIII-IX.
Anyone know a good place to get a pair, and a ball park price?
evolutionm.net and they'll set you back anywhere from 700-1000 for just the front seats.

I've never seen any pics of the Evo seats in a 3g, but i know they aren't direct bolt on. The seats from the Evo barely fit in a 2g. So if i were you i'd do some measuring before attempting it, unless it has been done before. Also, i have not seen the Evo steering wheel in a 3g, but i have in a 2g and actually have access to a write up for it. It requires the hub to be cut out of each steering wheel, using the hub from the 2g steering wheel welded into the Evo steering wheel. If the 3g and the Evo use the same hub, then clearence would be my only concern. You just might want to hit up club3g to see if there's more info on this.

Damn! Now that's the kinda response I'm talkin about!!! HUGE thanks 2 U.
I just received every bit of information (plus) that I was looking for.
Well, almost...

I'd still really like to know what the Outer Diameter of the SteeringWheel is.
If someone gets the chance, Could you just take a tape measure and find the widest length across the outside of the ring of the Steering Wheel (gripping surface)? Inches, Centimeters, Millimeters, it doesn't matter. I can convert it to what I need. That would be very much appreciated!

Well, the Aftermarket Steering Wheel Hub adapters that I've seen are applicable to the Evo, 3G AND 2G Eclipse, so it sounds like I would probably need to do the hub swap that you described about the 2G.
I'm already a fairly active member of Club3G, but didn't ask about the Steering Wheel there, because I've never found, seen, or heard anything about that swap... one reason that I'd love to do it. Anyways I guess I'll toss the compatabilty/lack there of, question out on Club3G.

As far as the Seats go, that is something that I probably wouldn't be getting really soon, but I figured I'd ask because while reading through an old issue of 'Turbo' Magazine, I found this (refferring to an '02 Eclipse with an Evo VIII engine swap) :
"They made the Eclipse and the Evolution almost interchangeable. Even the Evo VIII Brembo brakes bolted up without fabrication. (Paul also couldn't pass up on the Evo VIII Recaro Seats."
So the Brakes are definatively listed as a straight swap (I knew that... that topic is beat to death on Club3G), but the statement about the Seats lacks clarity. They didn't actually say that they were a direct swap, but mentioned it in the same breath as a direct swap (Brakes), and he aparrently got them in there some how....
I'll do some looking around on Club3G, and post there if I can't figure it out, but you mentioned something...

Rob, What kind of clearance issues for the seats were you referring to?
Do you mean the sides (door panel to center console), the height (bracket to HeadLiner), or something else?

Once again, I've Really got to thank you, and the above questions are the only additional info requests that I'll bug you guys with... I can take it from there, since so much concise detail was offered to me!!! THANX!

Bracket to headliner. It takes custom made brackets to get those seats in a 2g, and the seat have to sit low. My bet is that there is more headroom in the 3g though, so it might take an easier set of brackets to fit it.
