I'm pretty sure my gto is AWD and all wheel steering ?
1993 TT
also does anyone know why my ECS is always on sports tour and does not change while i'm driving ?

The AWS only engages at 31mph and above

The ECS mode is changed manually by hitting the "ECS" button to the right of the instrument cluster. (maybe left since ur RHD?) if it's flashing "Tour Sport" something's wrong in the system. Only one should be illuminated at a time.

EDIT: just noticed it has the Kaze hood blisters...nice. and other exterior mods?

oh okay, now it makes sense about the awd.
yea it came random like that with those vents from japan don't see any of those in canada at all

about the ECS
when i turn the ignition key half way i can select between tour and sport ,but when i turn the ignition key all the way ( start the car) it automatically switches flashes "tour sport and if i hit the ECS it does not change.
any opinions ?

check the tops of all the struts for loose connections or frayed wires. Also check the ECS computer in the hatch on the right side.

The car doesnt have aftermarket suspension correct?

EDIT: just saw in your other post that the car has "down low springs and dampers".
The ECS will still function with lowering springs, though it will not be as noticable. But if you replace the shocks with anything but the OEM ECS shocks, the ECS is gone.

i have a similar problem with my ECS, but its not in a 3K, its in a galant. i guess in 91 the GSR had the ECS system. it lights up when the car is on, but never changes and none of the buttons work, at any key positions. i checked the connectors in the front and they look almost brand new, so i cant figure out what it is
