This is basically the same legendary 4G63 that we use to destroy Supras in US ;)

In 100% stock form you can safely push 20psi, as long as you make sure that you are getting enough fuel. If you want to run more boost, I would get rid of the stretch head bolts and replace them a set of ARP studs. You can do this with head on the car (as long as you do it BEFORE you blow the head gasket).

20psi is pretty high with any stock set-up IMO !

By bog stock I presume you meant an RVR SSG, HSG or X3 (4G63T - the factory-turboed engine)?

On the SSG (Super Sports Gear 199x-1996, EVOI-III 4G63T) or X3 (1997-1998, EVOVII 4G63T) (with the factory top-mount), these cars run a TD04-based turbo, and are good for around 14PSI reliably with everything stock. It will not give you a HUGE boost over factory, as the top-mount intercooler is pretty tiny. They run around 10-11psi from the factory too.

On the HSG (Hyper Sports Gear - 1997-1998, EVOIII 4G63T) you are running a TD05 16g. These are capable of 20PSI and as they come with full EVOIII running gear, (front mount, injectors etc) you will get decent gains out of this.

Hope this helps :)
