Sup guys. So I don't know that much about a n/a 4G63. I am planning full suspension, and I'd like some go. I don't want to turbo the motor until I get a newer body.

I'm looking for advice on building my n/a 6 bolt to around 225 FWHP. I know the basic bolt ons that would help, but should I get some cams or other internals.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Peace. :460:

you could get 255hp by installing someones entire OEM turbo set up. There were a few recent threads on doing this, try a search it should come up pretty easily.

one suggestion though, when you do turbo the car spin the CAS slightly forward to take the 5 degree base timing advance away. the reason is beacuse the N/A 4g63's have higher compression

I know I could get the HP I want with a turbo, but I don't have turbo money. I'd like to go that route.

Also, I'm nowhere near 100% on what all I'd need for the swap. Other than the obvious things, could someone help me out?

I might be slightly retarded. I searched three or four different times, and never found anything pertaining to my topic. If anyone knows the thread I should read lemme know.

I did however read a thread about turboing the n/a 4G63. Whats the opinion on that?

if you really want to have fun, that's the best option. if you want small gains then do the n/a bolt on stuff.

bolt on's really won't take you very high on the n/a 4g63. The only way you could push a whole lot more pwr outta the n/a would be a high comp build. Which is like getting breast reduction surgery. it just doesn't make sense.

Thanks for the help guys. I read the article that was linked in one of the replies.
It was a really well written article, but I didn't find anything on the 4G63.

So my real question is, can the stock internals on the n/a 4G63 hold boost. I have a 6 bolt, but I don't know if that changes anything.

all you need is to change your pistons, have a machinist press ARP studs into the conneting rods and you have an engine strong enough to handle 500hp

That should be easier than I was thinking. By changing pistons, do you mean putting on forged pistons, or would it be okay to use new OEM style turbo pistons?

for 255hp oem style pistons would work. if you spend a little extra for Wiseco's then you never have to worry about it
