Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm after some advice about my L200.

Started having problems about 3 weeks ago, it was really lumpy sitting at idle, problems starting, black smoke when acclerating, poor fuel performance. I've taken it to my local mitsubishi dealer and they have diagnosed a blown head gasket and distorted block, so they are recommending a new short block etc etc.

They want to charge us £3486.00 for all the work (and this is with a goodwill gesture from Mitsubishi already deducted) We have gone to Colt Cars, as the truck is only 4 months out of the warranty and I can't believe that with only 40k on the clock that I should be having all these problems.

I've seen that there have been problems with the 53 plate and we're now trying to gather evidence of problems affecting those registered in 05.

Can anyone help or offer advice on dealing with Mitsubishi (Colt)??

Thanks
