i have a gs with blown head gasket,and its going to sit for awhile,well im also buying another eclipse but its a Rs,and the ecu is bad,so i was going to swap out the computers,if i could so i have something to drive ,so i can get my other one fixed.

anyone know if that is possible?i might just go to the junkyard and find me another computer.

They are the same computer, so yes you can swap them.

what years are the cars

95-96 computers are different pin locations from 97-99

i think

but i know forsure the 95 computer is different

yeah deffently do that

because if you force the connectors together..you could end up bending or breaking one of the pins

and then

you would be screwed

i would think that it depends if you have a automatic or standard car. i think you must find a car that has the same transmission as the one you have. I am petty sure that 95-95 are the same computer. not too sure

you are correct they need to be the same tranny. I should have clarified that. Lol.

Some 95's were obdI, and some were obdII. Check the Ecu for inputs first. If the 95 RS has one connector going to the Ecu, then make sure the Ecu from the GS does too.
