I was sitting at a light, on my way home from work. And there was 1 truck in front of me, a 99 chevy. Guy sitting there at the red light, throws his car in reverse, slams his gas and hits me before I had time to react.

He gets out and asks if i am ok. We pull into a parking lot, where he proceeds to tell me that he had 2 shots, and drank 2 beers at the next door strip club only 15 minutes earlier.

Apologizes, and asks if he can cut me a check for 1,000 and call it even and go our separate ways. I said NO, because I have honestly no clue how much money in damage was done. A dent in the bumper and scrapes all over it.

I proceeded to call the police. Guy came, filed our small claims report. The guy who hit me seems to be a decent guy, obviously not wanting his insurance company to know about it. Exchanged insurance info, talked, the policeman was about to leave......

And the guy tells the officer (who is about to close his door to his car and leave), "Oh and since i'm an honest guy, I had 2 shots and drank a couple beers earlier."

Yep, he just used instant karma on himself. Got sobriety tested, and arrested for a DUI.

So how was everyone elses night? >_> Ill give more details if needed, and pics tomorrow.

That guy just royally fucked himself over.

But in accordance to your situation, I would simply wait for your insurance company to contact you and get your side of the story again just so they can verify that the info they have is correct. And then the other guy's insurance will pay for all your damages at the shop of your choice. But to get back at the guy, shop around and find the most expensive place to do the work since his insurance is paying for it and have it done there. Other than that you should be ok.

And my night was good, reattached my front license plate and I'm off to bed to sleep for work tomorrow.

And I hope your problem gets taken care of pretty quick, cause the last bad accident I was in in my car, I was without my car for about 2-3 weeks. But hope all goes well for ya.

2-3 weeks? consider yourself lucky...i got in an accident aug 17th, turned in the car on the 19th, and they said it would be about a week and a half. so that next friday (1 week ago) they said "oh its in the paint shop you can pick it up tuesday"...fuck...no car on labor day weekend. i called them on tuesday and they said that they just found out the axle is bent...now i have to wait another week and a half for them to get the part and then to install it. its already been like 2 and a half weeks and its gonna be another week and some change before i get it back. im highly upset

Sounds like a hilarious idea to me. Hopefully no frame damage on the car, even though you dont have to worry about it.

You probably could. Or just go to a Mitsu dealer cause they're some of the most expensive I know of.
