Hi Guys

Ive got a problem with my Shogun Auto. I can do the odd bit of spanner weilding but electrics baffle me. So here goes: After a few miles of running, the ABS light comes on. does this automatically mean there is a problem with the ABS or could it be a wire break/ crap on the sensor?

It can mean several things. One if the break pads or low , or were low and , well sumtimes if the fluid level had gotten low at one point and there is a small amount of air in the ABS unit.

Also yes it can also be caused by a wire /connecter break issue with one of the wheel speed sensors. Or the wheel speed sensor itself has just gone bad. Or a possible malfunction with the ABS unit itself.

Hi,
I took my pajero sport 2.5tdi for offroad ride. In some point with a lot of mud in the wheels and with the car working with low transmission 4x4 the ABS turned on.
that's normal in mud conditions? after restarting the engine was off. that happened twice.

Did the light return? It all depends. Could be air in the abs unit , or sumthing could have been blocking the wheel speed sensor at the wheel or rear axle and the correct air gap was not being read by the ABS unit so it immitted the light.
