Hello Members,

Hello Members,
I took my space wagon for MOT, she fails the emission test for CO, HC and Lambda for 2500 rpm condition, however second time tested at same rpm readings drop for CO and HC but only Lambda pass.
Natural Idle CO test fail.
I would like your help to resolve the problem but may be following information help to relate the reason.
Over three months ago I had power loss problem with the car after putting the new middle part of exhaust system. Some one suggested may be power loss caused due to cat block so I changed cat, bought from local supplier not Mitsubishi. Finally problem was resolved by changing distributor coil.
Now she went for MOT test and fail on above reason. Lambda sensor changed two years ago. Your help will be appreciated.

Car Details are as follow:

Spacewagon 2.00 Glxi, Petrol, Manual
1994

Hello mate,

all you need is to take it to an MOT test station that does not try and locate the car on the system i.e Grey Imports readings are different to UK specs hence the fails.

all you do is stick some injector cleaner and smoke reducer i.e. STP and give it a good run before the test.

i don't know where you are in the UK but i use a garager could SPICERS in Bletchley Milton Keynes.

Very good chaps and will do it for you or in London Northfields off M4/A4 called SURI Motors.

all the best

When ever I take my spacewagon in for test I usually put some kerosene through the diesel (she tends to run a bit smokey) Up to now she has always passed the emisions test but have to book her in for test soon (hope I not jinxing her)
