Like the title says...Although we don't have rain-sensing wiper, we have Speed-sensing wiper lol.

Condition:
If you have ur wiper set to speed 1 and delay 1:
0Km/hr - wiper interval 6secs
5 to 79km/hr - wiper interval automatically reduces to every 3 secs
80 to 119km/hr - wiper interval automatically reduces to every 1-2 sec(s)
120+km/hr - wiper interval automatically reduces to every 0.5-1 sec

Try it !!

I was messing with the wipers too. Since the storms that have been hitting its a great time to test them out. This feature is nice and thanks for sharing it.

Off topic but I would like side view mirror defoggers any chance I could do this as a diy or is it not possible?

Wouldn't the easiest ( probably expensive) way of doing this is to buy the parts from our Canadian dealer and ship it to US?

I believe we Canucks get the sideview defoggers installed as standard.

If you are interested in going this way, i can probably buy all the required parts from the dealer and ship it to yah

:offtopic: As well here:
defoggers+reverse gear mirror repositioning would be nice. our mirrors are mounted pretty high, curbs are invisible in them. i'm trying not to get my rims scratched, 7K mls on the ODO, so far so good, but it's a pain in the a$$ to lower the right mirror every time I parallel park and then out it back to the correct position. :gunsmilie:
it's such a cheap and easy add on. I was supprised that my buddies old acura TL has it, it's sooo helpful.

You could always do what I did......I just put one of those little 2 1/2 inch spot mirrors on. Works like a charm.

Heated mirror would be great. Canadians get them, but we don't...go figure.
I asked when I got my car about that....asked if they could order me the parts & install them. Their response......it would void your warranty....WTF??!
Its a Mitsu part going on a Mitsu car...so why not? They said that the part numbers are different in Canada & therfore they wouldn't do it....how FN goofy!
I would still like to do it....how would they know if I switched it out or not....?

speaking of speed sensing wipers...they have been around for a while. i have a 91 galant, i noticed yesterday on my way onto the highway that my wipers changed speed, then when i got off the highway they slowed down again.

You could do it and if they spot it, you could play dumb about it and claim you are one of the lucky SOB to have it in the US ;)

Your best bet would be to check salvages yards in Canada for the mirrors. Although, they're not many smashed up, I have seen a few posted online. You will be able to get them at a price way more decent then what the Canadian Dealers will charge.

Void what warranty though? It's not like your engine will blow up if you just change your mirror to a heated mirror.

When they say you will void your warranty it probably means you're not going to get warranty on those heated mirror.

My delay changes exactly at 60km/h, rather than 80.. it's a bit disorientating since 60km/h is a lot of speed limits around here and if you ride that line, it keeps changing interval :o

Though I find the feature to be a complete no-brainer, and I'm glad they implemented it.
