How long do they usually last? I had my '05 Lancer ES looked at by Les Schwab this morning and they say that both my pads and rotors are shot (They said the right-front was metal on metal). However, there is no grinding or squeeling during braking. This morning I had a bit of intermittant grinding after the brakes were applied and I had started to accelerate again (no grinding during the actual braking process). My Lancer has ~ 58,000 miles on it and most of those miles were in rural highway settings where little to no braking was required. Is this normal of Lancer's or should I get a second opinion before plunking down $340?
