Hi I'v a spacewagon 2.0L diesel year 2000 (old model) This morning I was going along quite happy (passing a pug) when engine cut out. Son came and towed me home. After looking at the car he found she has slipped the timing this is the second time. He fixed it last time changed all the belts etc and was running well. Only about 10 weeks ago that it done it for the first time!!!
Any one had any experience with this or know why she should skip the timing for no apparent reason????

Still not got the space wagon fixed!!
Son just hasn't time to look at it yet so I'm using his navara Just hasn't got enough seats

Just wondered if any one else had a similar problem??

The old girl did have a oil leak would this contribute to her slipping the timing if the belt was contaminated with the oil???

Any help would be gratefully received

Thanks

If you still haven't it fixed you should maybe replace the tensioner spring if its got one.

Was there no engine damage with the slipped belt?
