I've been wondering the same thing.. I'll trying to figure something out. My last 09 GTS didn't have the sunroof, so it was nicely lit in the rear before. It's seriously missing lighting now. I feel they cheaped out on that part.

I had thought about that but that will only light up the floor. I'm considering a few options that I will play with this weekend most likely. Some might be put in just behind the rear doors... depends on how well I can hide the wires.

Has anybody considered installing a lamp or led into the handles above the doors?

I'd seriously consider doing this.

My idea is actually to put some lights right behind the headrests of the front two seats, attached to the seat and not the headrests. This would allow you to point them towards the seat and illuminate everything, but for them not to get banged up by feet and stuff. I haven't gone through any design work of it or anything. Just an idea. :57:

That wouldn't be a bad idea, but I was wanting to control them myself with a switch. Nothing stops little kids from acting up in the back then a light that suddenly pops on

I hear ya.
Mine used to leave the back lights on (in my old ride) and I'd awake to a practically dead battery.
Good times. :P

But we must find a way.... ever lost anything in the back at night?

Actually I have, but I keep a flashlight in the glove box for emergencies and it just so happened that my younger brother lost his ipod in the back seat. I'm just glad that I keep my car clean so it was easy to spot with the light
