Hi all,

first time poster and have a basic knowledge and experience working with cars, but none when it comes to experience with exterior mods. I don't really know anybody around who could help me learn this, so I figure some people on these forums would have some tips since it seems like there is a lot of knowledgeable people here. Be nice please, I really know nothing when it comes to body kit installation. I searched the forums but found nothing helpful for my particular issue.

You can see there is a square hole on the right end of the side skirt. I wanted this hole to actually be a hole when installed, but if just fitted on top the hole would cover up. Also, the side skirt seems slightly too short; both these issues leads me to believe i need to somehow remove the portion of the body from the horizontal stripe (it's the indent that cuts through the door and runs end to end) downward. If that part of the body was removed it def looks like the side skirt would be a very good fit. Before I actually cut this though, I wanted to know if this was actually the right thing to do because I have never heard of people having to cut parts of the body off to make it fit in all the basic side skirt installation faqs I have read.

man if you were in Florida, I would do it for you for FREE. if its too short, I would cut it in half. Attach both ends, and glass the middle back together. Of course this is alot of work, but to me, Its super easy.

any suggestions for materials to use to attach it back together? i may also have to glass one of the edges since it doesnt blend as seemlessly as id like near the wheel well.

also, if i dont have to cut out the entire section off the bottom, i was thinking that just cutting a hole to line up with the kit could work too. any flaws with this logic?

Just cut it in half and attach both ends. You have to make it look ugly, to make it look good TRSUT ME. Check out my thread on my work. You can SEE its UGLY and then when all sanded and painted, it comes together. This was a INTEGRA front, that I made fit 110% perfect to my stock front.
