The new Mitsubishi will premire in Paris.... I wonder what it is. New lancer? Or the vr-4 lancer they've had in the works for a while? or a new rendering of the colt?

MITSUBISHI 2008 PARIS MOTOR SHOW PRESS CONFERENCE

Three World Premieres:

Lancer Sportback - Mitsubishi's distinctive 5-door "Sports Hatch" for the C/D segments.
Racing Lancer - Mitsubishi's entry at the 2009 Dakar Rally, modelled after Lancer Sportback and powered by an all-new 3.0 V6 turbo-diesel engine.
Mitsubishi Motors will reserve a third world premiere for the Paris Motor Show (see below), which can only be discussed on October 2nd.
A European Premiere:
Paris will also see the European premiere of the 240PS Lancer Ralliart, in both Sports Saloon and Sportback (5-door hatch) forms.

No, can't be. The headlamps are completely different. Your pic shows large reflectors...

The sportback has the same headlamp as our Lancers, which has the high beams closer to the grill.
The original picture seems to have composites, so the Colt could be a match.

Turning up the gain on fullmetalpanic's picture reveals that there are no inner turn signals on it. Can't tell for certain if the Colt has them, as it could just be a weird reflection.
