here is the story...i was driving my stealth, when in 1st there was a big bang and almost as if somthing dropped from the engine..i was able to get to a parking lot to check it out , nothing visable . on my way home i was slowly losing power to the point where it came to a complete stop. blahhhhhh...ok so now its starts up fine, shifts fine but it wont move, and im getting a spinning howling sound..pleasee has anyone had this problem solved?..no i havent had it checked out yet...just looking for any idea. ty.

Could you describe the problem better.

Start the car put it in first and let the clutch out do you move?

nothing...in any gear...but when i push the gas i get a whindy sound like somthing is spinning .. the car wont budge.

You can put the car in gear and let the clutch out with the car running?

sounds like the output shaft is spinning in the transfer box or sheared off!

yes i can put the car into gear and let out the clutch....its doesnt move at all...just idles..i give it a little gas and all i get is a spinning sound.
