I cleaned the air intake from behind the air filter with a carburetor spray. then wiped it with a clean paper towel. after doing that as soon as i drove out the "Service Engine soon" warning came on..... the transaxle was erratic and jerky the idle speed was racing double the rpm. in a nutshell the computer did not like what I did. I ended up taking to a dealer today monday. the airflow sensor had to be replaced. They said I was lucky it was on warranty and the damage did not extend as far as the injection system. The moral of the story.....never fiddle around with the emission system and make sure the gas cap is always tight and never to overfill the gas tank. So the dealer said.

Wow! So why is it not good to fully fill the gas tank!?? I know it has over flowed once or twice trying to squeeze all the gas I could!!?? I have never had a problem!???

This is why you should ALWAYS disconnect the negative terminal from the battery when working on the engine.
