Hi
I am still new in this forum and i have been reading many of the articles here which are really confusing. first of, id like to determine where my mitsubishi lies.all i know is that its a 1.6l 4g92 engine with the ralliart badge in the trunk. there is no mivec logo anywhere. under the hood is the name mitsubishi 16 valve. Top speed is 240Kph though i heve never driven it beyond 165Kph. it has a body kit but i know its not an evolution. and at the trunk the emblems there are just the mitsu logo, lancer and ralliart badge. no mr, no glx, glxi etc. i dont know whether it is a SOHC or DOHC, id appreciate if someone told me.I got the car from singapore (if that will be of any hellp) i bought it simply because it looks good and its fast.

So please someone tell me how good or bad my mitsu is and how better can it become.

cheers

Cool, But how would I know whether it is a SOHC or DOHC or Mivec etc. It is not specified in the owners manual.

From what I can tell it looks like a 5th gen Lancer GLXi - 4 door sedan. It has the 1.6 L Cyclone ECI-MULTI engine (4G92 SOHC) Mivec was not offered on the SOHC that year. I am assuming you have either the European or Phillippean version

Ralliart versions were not available until the 7th gen I think so that might just be a sticker/badge

the SOHC motor, only has "Mitsubishi 16Valve" on it (oh and it's probably silver), the dohc will have "DOHC 16v" and the Mivec will have MIVEC written on it.
Oh, and DOHC and MIVEC ones, have a bigger redline. 6,500 is the typical SOHC Redline.

Btw, i want your Brushed Stainless-look dash/cluster, Never seen that before. :)

They're good cars these.

I only know different models from Japan/Australia. as that's what we get here.
(and none have that awesome dash.)
