It's time to replace my timing belt. Never been done and the car has about 97K on it. Pretty sure my ex wife or her boyfriend never had it done at the 60K mark

I did some more looking and found a place called rockauto.com

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/racatalog.php

Is this all that I need:

Timing Belt Kit
GATES Part # TCK259 {3 Components (1 Belt, 1 Tensioner, 1 Idler)} $63.79
Interference engine application; Does not include cam. tensioner hyd. assy

Water Pump
BOSCH Part # 97154 $45.79
Original Equipment Replacement

or

CARDONE SELECT Part # 5533415 $55.79

or

ACDELCO Part # 252497 {#12494246}
Water Pump Kit $63.79

Water Pump Gaskets(Do these come with the pump or do I have to purchase)
FEL-PRO Part # 35584
24 VALVE ENGINE $2.57

Thermostat Housing Gasket I think I need two of these. Which do I need? I think the first one is what I need

FEL-PRO Part # 35520 $3.79
24 valve engine; Water Outlet Gasket; Thermostat Housing; Adapter to head

or

FEL-PRO Part # 35589 $2.16
24 valve engine; Thermostat Housing; Thermostat case to head

or

FEL-PRO Part # 35667 $.90
24 valve engine; Thermostat Housing; Outlet to head

I'm going to get the ALT & PS Belts locally.

Is this all I need to buy?

get the hydraulic tensioner, its another $50 or so and you are already there. just take all the old parts off and put new ones on and save a headache later. If you really want to change the camshaft seals too while you are at it.
Buy all the parts and then just return the ones you didn't use. It just makes things simpler. At least you will have everything.
BTW Don't buy the cardone water pump. they suck. Go for the bosch and get the gasket, although they should come with the pump unless someone took it out of the box at one point.

Good luck.

Thanks for the replies.

I've got most of my stuff ordered through a friend in auto parts distribution so I got better prices on my stuff. I have to wait on the tensioner to arrive, it's not availble till october

I got to get a water pump though. I'll go a head and get a WP gasket but do I need the thermastat gasket also?

Might as well get the thermostat gaskets. I know stant thermostats come with gaskets on some apps. then again i open the box and don't find one. Try Dorman Products Dorman See if they list a t-belt tensioner for your year. Maybe a shorter wait.

Do I need to get a thermostat also when doing a timing belt change? I thought i read someplace someone said get thermostat housing gaskets also

Which thermostat gaskets do I need? If I dont get a thermostat?

Dorman is where the tensioner i got is coming from.

Can someone give me a list of what I should be changing in a timing belt/water pump replacement

So far this is what i got:
I got my timing belt kit
waiting on the tensioner to arrive
got the power steering & altenator belts

ordering a water pump.

Ok so what else do I need or is normally done
