I have to say that out of all the colours, even mine including, the white with the black grill looks the best. The high contrast makes that sucker look mean as hell, ready to swallow up dogs and small children. If I could do it a third time, I might actually pick white.

Any idea on how much this would cost if for some reason I would wanna get this done at a paint shop. Also how do you move the license plate frame over to the right side.

I haven't bought my lancer yet. Do most dealerships have a paint shop and if so do you think there's any chance I can convince the dealer to include the painting with it lol. Already gotten the dealer down to around 20k for 09 GTS fully loaded.

umm ha yeah no most dealerships contract their painting out same goes for insurance companies... honestly. its really easy to do. it cost me like 20 bucks not even for the front bumper and the chrome grill.

if your still stuck on having a shop do it go shop around but i can pretty much assume you that you're gonna spend at least 200 and thats with a deal haha

ya theres no way I would spend around 200$ to have that done but I don't really feel comfortable doing it myself. Who knows maybe that will change. What about relocating the license plate frame. I heard that can be a b*tch having to drill holes into your bumper. I also saw some people use industrial velcro. Anyone try that before and how did it work out.

i've never touched a can of spray paint before i did mine.. the best thing i can tell you is to practice with wood or like bristol board to get the hang of it.. ahhh i dont think the velcro idea is a good one.. you could see if the mits dealer can get you a evo holder they will do that for you i'd assume...

BTW AConns how do you like the blue color of ur GTS. I've pretty sure thats what color I will be getting mine in. I showed a couple of people the color online and some thought it was purple. You have any problems like that? Dealer isnt getting a blue one in till next month so I haven't seen one in person yet. NOBODY drives lancers around where I'm at.

yours won't be the colour of mine as i have the 08 and the 09 is a diff colour but its pretty sweet. i wanted white but the only one they had with what i wanted was that or rally red when i bought it. so i went with the blue..

the blue on mine is a little purple looking at first i guess. i thought it was really awkward when i saw it but it kinda grew on me that for sure.

different shades of blue for each year? Do they always do that or did they just happen to change it between these two years.

This is a small chip I made to represent the color difference between 08 and 09.

09 Octane Blue on the left, 08 Electric Blue on the right.
