Hey there, just wondering if anyone in Toronto could take out the spoiler for a 09 lancer SE. I dont like the look of it - I would prefer a lip or nothing at all. I think there are 2 screw wholes on each side that hold it up + some adhesive.

Has anyone done this before - in this city. If I do take the spoiler off how do I fill the wholes up? (with a lip?)

Any suggestions

Thanks russ

i could be wrong, but i dont think you can. the mounting positions for the spoiler and lip are in very different places. i know of another guy on the forum who's dealer accidentally put the spoiler on his car instead of the lip, and they had to swap tho whole trunk lid.

The spoiler is mounted with 4 screws (2 on each side) and an adhesive gasket. You'd have to fill in the holes and repaint the trunk to match.

Your best bet is to do a trunk swap with somebody else.

I've seen a white Lancer in Toronto with a spoiler off, that dude just plugged the holes with a rubber plugs matched with the color of the car. Looks weird from my point of view.
