Hey guys...I installed the rrm v2 pulley a couple days ago...and it went fine. But i opened my hood yesterday to check out pulley and see that it was okay. Looks okay...but my engine was vibrating excessively. I dont know if its from pulley or what. When installing i lined the notch up on the pulley with the middle hash mark. The very left hash mark had a "10" above it...the middle had nothing ..and the right one had a "T"
above it...did I line it up to the right one? Please help :)

The pulley only lines up one way. RRM does have a video guide on how to install the pulley.

When does it vibrate excessively? Cold start? Does it stop vibrating after a while? Did you torque the pulley to spec?

You need to torque the pulley to spec IMMEDIATELY.

It could fall off and possibly even damage your pulley.

Stop driving the car, get a torque wrench from your local auto store or Lowes/Home Depot, and torque the pulley to spec.

You saw how hard it was to get the thing off... it should be just as hard to get it back on!

Yeah if you have a loose pulley you might do quite a bit of damage to it or the crank shaft even... or snap the belt or something.

When you visually inspect the pulley while the car is running does it appear to be loose or out of balance?

Chances are you destroy your oil pump and or crank WAY before it falls off. Just from vibrating it will destroy these things.

You take a torque wrench
You get the specs
You tighten.

When I inspect it, the pulley appears to be balanced. I put the bolt back on with an air gun at 100psi when I installed it, you don't think its on there tight enough? My friend said i'm lucky I didnt snap the head off the bolt.
PS: Thanks for info guys

On a 3000GT that bolt is 157 FT/LBS You need to get the exact specs for your car and put it to those specs.

You have to torque it to the specs that it's supposed to be. Don't just wing it. They have those specs for a reason. If you're too worried about doing it to those specs, get a licensed shop to do it. That way, if they do snap the head off the bolt, they'll have to fix it.

Otherwise, if you're not doing shit to spec, you shouldn't be doing it at all -- especially with something as important as a crank pulley.

Alright I got the issue straightened out, I set it to 150 ft lbs. I got the pulley to not turn on the CVT also. I just had my friend hold pliers on fly wheel and everything held its ground from there.
