hey i have a 97 mitsubishi eclipse and i am looking to paint the middle tail light black to match the car. the problem is, i have no idea how to remove that middle piece. idk if i should paint over the middle tail light piece or inside of it.... if any one has any information please help...thanks

To remove it open your hatcch and remove the interior trim where the tail lights are. tehre should be a few bolts there. You might have to remove the tailights themselves before you cna get to the center section. I ma not sure since I have never done it on a 2g.

so i would just have to remove the eclipse symbol and paint....i dnt even need to remove the middle piece?

remove the center tail light from the car, remove the eclipse emblem and paint it then put it back in.
