Well I finally took the time to look more into my car. It was having Idle issues to the point where it would drop RPM andrse back up and then DIE. It would start hard, to where I would have to give it a little gas to Stay running. Anyway, today I made sure my oil was full and coolant and the car runs fine. But, I noticed a HISS coming from engine bay. Its coming up from cylinder #3 sparkplug boot. All this is brand NEW so its not ripped or anything. Ifyou like touch it or "burp" it, it would hiss. This would NOT change the idle at all or anything. This Hiss was not there 3 days ago, so it just developed. I thought I had a animal of some sort in my engine bay, on my way to take my kid to school.

Any idea on what im talking about? If not I will try to do a photocucket VIDEO for you. My car seriously went from 27-29 mpg to a CONSTANT 16-18 mpg and more stalling issues. car still gets up and scoots, but always afraid to idle too long cuz it WILL stall

YES I KNOW I HAVE OIL ISSUES

there is some kind of vacuum leak around there. check all the hoses and clamps to make sure they are tight. it might be coming from the pcv hose.

are you sure it isn't an injector 0-ring? there shouldn't be any hissing from your spark plug boot.

Did you check to see if your spark plug is torqued properly?

No i didnt double check. What are the specs for them? I didnt know they actually had to be to a certain spec. They were pre-gapped also. Just WEIRD I went from 27-29 mpg to seriously 16. I went 260 miles on 2 TANKS

The oil was always the problem from day one of buying it. The noise started about 4 days ago now. Im one to NEVER get on it or redline this car.

the reason I asked was, it is very possible that after everything you've tried the valve cover itself might just be the problem with a crack in it

yeah could be. I will try to find one that isnt over priced. Valve covers are CHEAP, but when it comes to this motor, they seem to be popular and over priced
