alright well i had a BRAND NEW transfer case installed about 600 miles ago, but my timing belt had snapped so my car has been sitting for a little over a month. i finally got everything i needed to put her back together and i moved my car from where it had been sitting and there is a little puddle of gear oil under my car, id say its about a 12 inch circle. i crawled under the car to look around and seen some gear oil on my drive line right where it goes into the transfer case....

now im not to familiar with transfer cases and such as i used to only work on/drive front wheel drive cars, so basically my question is what would be the cause of it leaking, im sure the seal isnt bad on the transfer case after only 600 miles...

:liebe011: in advance

yea, it sounds like something wasnt put back together right. there is also a lifetime recall on all DSM transfer cases, so maybe you just got a lemon. just throwing that out there.

yea i know there was a recall, i found that out when my last t-case locked up on the freeway, took it to dealership and got a new 1 for free but its leaking so maybe they messed the seal up.

i guess im going back to the dealership once i get it completely back together...
